Wedding at Rathsallagh Country House

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY RATHSALLAGH COUNTRY HOUSE
ANDREA & DAVID ROMANTIC BRAZILIAN WEDDING
Andrea and David tied the knot at the stunning Rathsallagh Country House. Andrea, originally from Brazil, and David, an Irish local, met in Ireland and quickly fell in love. Their wedding was a beautiful celebration with around 70-100 guests, an intimate gathering of close family and friends.Andrea prepared for the big day in the bridal suite, surrounded by her bridesmaids. She looked absolutely breathtaking in a gorgeous white fishtail wedding dress that hugged her figure perfectly. Her hair was styled in an elegant bun, accented by a delicate hair accessory that added a touch of sparkle. To complete her bridal look, she wore a mid-length veil that flowed effortlessly, complementing the timeless beauty of her dress.
The civil ceremony took place in the charming Grannary, a beautiful venue that can seat up to 200 guests. The room was softly lit with candles, creating a warm and romantic ambiance that set the perfect mood for the occasion.Andrea was accompanied by four bridesmaids, each wearing elegant matching blue dresses that added a lovely contrast to her stunning bridal gown. The bridesmaids walked down the aisle first, followed by Andrea, who was escorted by her brother. As Andrea appeared at the end of the aisle, David’s emotions were evident—his eyes welled up with tears as he saw his bride for the first time. It was a truly heartwarming moment that captured the depth of their love for each other. The ceremony itself was filled with beauty and emotion, a perfect reflection of their journey together and the beginning of their new life as a married couple.
The family and couple portraits were taken in the picturesque walled garden, surrounded by lush greenery that created a beautiful, natural backdrop. As is my usual approach, I began with the family portraits to make sure everyone could head off to the reception and enjoy themselves. These typically take about 10-20 minutes to complete, which gives us just enough time for those important group shots without feeling rushed. After that, I like to shift the focus to just the bride and groom for the couple portraits. It allows for a more intimate, relaxed atmosphere, where we can really capture the connection and emotions between them. Andrea’s maid of honor was a big help throughout this part of the day, assisting Andrea with the dress and even suggesting a few great poses. Her support made the whole experience flow so smoothly and comfortably, allowing Andrea and David to enjoy the moment together. The portraits turned out beautifully, with the soft lighting and vibrant greenery perfectly complementing their love and joy on such a special day.
Rathsallagh House, nestled in the serene countryside near Dunlavin, is a truly magical venue, offering a perfect blend of elegance and natural beauty. The reception room was absolutely stunning, adorned with soft, light colors and delicate floral arrangements that created a romantic and sophisticated atmosphere. The attention to detail was impeccable, and the space felt both intimate and grand, making it the perfect setting for Andrea and David’s celebration. One of the highlights of Rathsallagh House is its stunning outdoor space, and guests were able to enjoy the view of the expansive grounds right from the reception room. Large windows offered a panoramic view of the lush gardens and rolling countryside, providing a beautiful, peaceful backdrop. For those wanting a breath of fresh air, there was a lovely outdoor seating area just outside the reception room, where guests could relax and take in the surroundings, making the experience even more special. The estate itself is steeped in charm, with its elegant Georgian house and acres of manicured gardens, making it one of the most sought-after wedding venues in Ireland. Whether you’re inside the grand reception room or stepping out to the gardens, the beauty of Rathsallagh House truly shines, offering a sense of calm and elegance that only enhances the joy of the day. It was the ideal setting for Andrea and David to celebrate their love with family and friends, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
What a fun and memorable way to finish the day! After the formal portraits, I suggested to Andrea and her bridesmaids that they head out to the field for a more playful and relaxed photoshoot. It was a great way to let loose and enjoy the moment. The girls ran through the field, their beautiful dresses flowing in the wind, laughing and having a blast. The joy and energy were absolutely infectious, and the photos turned out stunning. The backdrop of the wide-open space, with the soft golden light of the evening, made everything even more magical. It was the perfect way to capture the fun, carefree side of the day—showing the bond between Andrea and her bridesmaids while also giving the bride a chance to feel like a true princess in her gorgeous gown. The mix of elegance and playfulness in those shots added a unique touch to the wedding album, showcasing not just the romance, but the joy and happiness that surrounded them.
